Reports lead to the investigation of Villa Spring of Erlanger

Covington, KY – The Kenton County Attorney’s Office, along with other state and local
agencies, is conducting an investigation into numerous reports of improper care provided
by Villaspring of Erlanger Health Care and Rehabilitation Center located in Erlanger,
Kentucky.

The investigation surrounds the death of several older individuals while in the care of
Villaspring of Erlanger and will determine whether crimes have been committed in the
care and management of the facility.

“Crimes against the elderly can be committed by family and friends, as well as in the care
of professional agencies that we trust to take care of our loved ones, Kenton County
Attorney Garry Edmondson said. “I encourage anyone who feels their loved one has
received improper care at Villa Springs, or any other agency, to contact my office, the
Kentucky Bureau of Investigation or Adult Protective Services.”

Edmondson expressed his commitment to give this investigation utmost priority as the
risk of harm to the elderly is of great public concern.
