Covington, KY – Kenton County Attorney Garry Edmondson has enacted a No Drop Policy,
effective immediately, for drivers that receive traffic violations on I-75 stretching from the Brent
Spence Bridge to the Dixie Highway exit in Ft. Mitchell. This policy is intended to coordinate with
the Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement’s Ticketing Aggressive Cars and Trucks (TACT) campaign.

“This particular corridor of I-75 is nationally recognized as one of the most dangerous areas for
travel,” Garry Edmondson said. “My office’s role to protect drivers is to strictly prosecute all
criminal traffic offenses brought before the Kenton District Court.”

As part of the TACT campaign, state and local law enforcement agencies are working together
along with judicial, industry and safety representatives to educate drivers on the effects of unsafe driving. This blitz has a major focus on violations by all drivers in two of the worst motor vehicle involved crashes in the state – Boone/Kenton Counties Interstate 75 from the Ohio River to the I71/75 interchange and the Interstate 65/Watterson Expressway junction in Jefferson County.

Edmondson reminds everyone traveling this section of interstate to obey all traffic laws and pay
attention to the signs and warnings that have been erected for this purpose - don’t speed, don’t
tailgate, and allow semi-trucks plenty of room.

“Adhering to the law will not only save you from getting a ticket, going to court, and paying large
fines – but it could also save you from injury or even death.”
